Maschine is finally getting real-time timestretching of loops in a new update coming December. In a video posted on their YouTube channel, Native Instruments teased the new update and although real-time timestretching is the main event, other features like loop hot-swapping, allowing you to switch out the loop you’re playing and drop in another all without missing a beat.
NI’s Traktor has been updated to version 2.11.1. It’s been a while since we’ve had an update for the popular DJing software, but Native have finally announced some new features, some of which we’ve seen before.
The major re-addition is the ability to colour-code tracks in the browser, which in turn show up on playlists and searches. Given the extra types of tracks Traktor now supports, it makes sense to differentiate between them in the sometimes-overwhelming browser.
Native Instruments is ensuring producers now have access to the sounds of their childhood via the recent Kinetic Toys roll out. The pack is an expanded version of a free Kontakt instrument dubbed Kinetic Treats.
The attached clip mentions samples from retro toy guns, tops, cuckoo clocks, toy trains, and clockwork robots. In all, Kinetic Toys includes 650 sounds sampled from over 200 throwback toys.
Native Instruments continue to bolster their REAKTOR Blocks platform with a new free update that introduces a new Blocks family - Kodiak.
